Set up their whole day
in one sitting
Reminders, tasks, photos, music, your voice, and a companion who remembers. Here's exactly what setting up DementiaBuddy looks like, screen by screen.
Link your person
Start by connecting to the person you care for. If they're already using DementiaBuddy, one search links you. If they're not, you can create their profile in a couple of minutes.
- Find an existing profile, or add someone new
- A guided six-step setup, all in one sitting
- More than one family member can share the same circle
Or create their profile
If the person you care for isn't on DementiaBuddy yet, you can set them up here — name, date of birth, diagnosis. Give them a login and they get their own simple screen; leave it off and everything runs from your side.
- Just the details that matter, nothing clinical
- A login is optional, not a requirement
- If they already exist, you're offered access instead of a duplicate
Tell us how they're doing
Ten gentle questions about the person you care for — no scores to worry about, no medical jargon, and you can skip it. It builds a support profile that changes how MERI speaks to them.
- Plain questions about their days, words and routines
- Produces an early, middle or late support profile
- Not a medical test — stop any time
Set the reminders
Reminders are the backbone of the day — medication, meals, appointments, a walk after lunch. Pick the time, choose which days it repeats, and it arrives on their screen with a gentle chime.
- Choose a time and the days it should repeat
- Medication, appointment, exercise or meal
- Edit or pause any reminder without starting over
Add the photos and music
Faces and songs reach places that words can't. Upload family photos with names attached, and add the music they grew up with — from your own files or a Spotify playlist. Books go in the same way.
- Name the people in each photo so MERI can recall them
- Build a library from their era, not yours
- Everything stays private to your care circle
Send a voice message
When you can't be there, your voice still can. Record a short message and it plays on their device — a good-morning, a reminder that you're thinking of them, a story from years ago.
- Up to ten seconds, recorded from anywhere
- Plays automatically on their side
- Familiar voices land better than any notification
Bring the family in
Care is rarely one person. Siblings, a partner, a paid caregiver — they can all share one circle around the same person, and you decide who gets in.
- Others can request access; the owner approves or rejects
- Add a family member directly by email
- Family members get their own, narrower permissions
MERI keeps them company
Between your visits, MERI is there. She talks, listens, and remembers — the names, the stories, the songs you added. And she speaks to the support profile from step two: full conversation, or one gentle option at a time, or simply quiet presence.
- Natural conversation, out loud, at their pace
- Draws on the photos and stories you've added
- No correcting, no quizzing, no tests
See how the day went
Your dashboard pulls the day together — what was completed, what was missed, how they seemed. Enough to know whether to call, without watching over their shoulder.
- Reminders taken and tasks completed at a glance
- Mood and engagement over time, not just today
- Share the picture with the rest of the care circle

Dementia care should
feel human
MERI is ready. Your family is waiting. Let's take the first step together.
